Say hello to Simin, one of our senior Java developers

Meet Simin Sh, one of Tektra's seasoned IT consultants. As a senior Java developer, Simin has already carved out a notable career in the banking and travel industries. Eager to learn new technologies, languages, and cultures, she is ready to work in Belgium.

Simin's passion for IT was ignited during her high school years, where she began by solving algorithms and tackling problems, always striving to find optimized solutions. The process of writing code and witnessing its outcomes fascinated her. At university, she worked with microcontrollers, programming them with machine language. Over the years, Simin has built expertise in software engineering, combining her skills in problem-solving with a deep understanding of hardware.

One key insight Simin has gained is the importance of using tools purposefully. "As a software developer, it is crucial to leverage tools not just for the sake of it, but to truly enhance the software's performance and functionality. The right tools, when applied correctly, are essential to building efficient and reliable systems."

Another valuable lesson Simin has learned is the significance of investing time in the design phase. "I believe that smart design can prevent overly complex queries or programming. Thoughtfully planning and structuring software allows me to achieve clean, efficient IT solutions that are easier to maintain and scale."

Recognizing that software development is often a collaborative effort, Simin strongly advocates for teamwork and pair programming. "These practices foster empathy among developers and significantly improve project quality. Pair programming not only enhances code quality but also strengthens team dynamics, making the development process more cohesive and effective."

Beyond her professional pursuits, Simin has a deep interest in art, history, and philosophy across the vast region spanning Western Europe. She finds Belgium's unique blend of languages and cultures particularly fascinating. Simin is also making impressive progress in learning Dutch, French, and German, and she’s ready to take on a challenge in Belgium!
